Aussie Open Day 4 : Defending Champion Sofia Kenin ejected from the draw; Divij , Ankita out from the doubles.

Defending Champion Out of Tournament.
Defending Champion, Sofia Kenin removed from the draw of Australian Open 2021 in the Second round after a 6-3 6-2 loss to Estonian, Kaia Kanepi.
After a First round win , in the press conference , she talked about how nervous she was defending a major title for the first time.
Kenin was nearly weeping during a changeover towards the end of the match.
The fourth seeded American only had 10 winners in the match , while commiting a sloppy 22 unforced errors.
Barty Through to third-round.
Top-Seeded Australian , Ash Barty dropped a few more points in the second round match than her first, But it did'nt affect the results.
Barty won the contest 6-1 7-6(7) against her fellow Australian , Daria Gavrilova.
Dropping Just 10 points in the first round , Barty was far less consistent in the second round match , racking up 34 unforced errors.
Pliskova cruised into the Third-Round.
Former World no.1 Pliskova advances to the third round by Beating Danielle Collins , a Semi-finalist at Melbourne Park in 2019 , 7-5 6-2.
Pliskova, seeded sixth, lost serve twice in a seesaw first set but pulled it out and then pulled away. She finished with seven aces.
The Spanish left-hander continues on the Quest to win 21st Grand slam.
The Spanish Second seed, Rafael Nadal marches into the third round with a head held high with a straight set win on American Michael Mmoh , 6-1 6-4 6-2.
He will face British man ,Cameron Norrie, who equaled his best grand slam result by beating Roman of Russia 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3).
Divij, Ankita bow out Australian Open doubles with respective partners.
Ankita, the third Indian woman tennis player to gain a place in the main draw of a Grand Slam event, and her partner Mihaela Buzarnecu of Romania lost 3-6 0-6 in just an hour and seventeen minutes by the Australian wild card pair of Olivia Gadecki and Belinda Woolcock.
India’s challenge also ended in the men’s doubles competition after Divij and his
Slovakian team-mate Igor Zelenay lost 1-6 4-6 against the German combination of Yannick Hanfmann Kevin Krawietz in the first round contest that laste just an hour and four minutes.
